Lex orandi, lex credendi ...

Jag läser om hur amerikanska vapentillverkare stansar in bibelverser på arméns kikarsikten, eller som rubriken säger: "U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret 'Jesus' Bible Codes" (Föga överaskande återfanns dock inte 2 Mos. 20:13 bland bibelverserna).

Jag funderar på var någonstans det gick snett i teologin, och kommer att tänka på ett klassiskt Hauerwas-citat:

"One reason why we Christians argue so much about which hymn to sing, which liturgy to follow, which way to worship is that the commandments teach us to believe that bad liturgy eventually leads to bad ethics. You begin by singing some sappy, sentimental hymn, then you pray some pointless prayer, and the next thing you know you have murdered your best friend."
